WELDNET project partner FEMEVAL took part in WeAreCobots Metal 2025, the roadshow promoted by Universal Robots, which returned to Valencia to showcase, through real cases and hands-on demonstrations, how collaborative robotics is transforming production processes in the metal sector.
FEMEVAL was present as a collaborating entity, joining an event that brings together companies such as NUTAI and Robotnik Automation, technological partners, and professionals to share solutions that can already be applied on the shop floor.
One of the central moments of the day was the panel “Industry Dialogue – Challenges and Opportunities in the Metal Industry”, moderated by Gonzalo Bernardos, with the participation of FEMEVAL General Secretary, Empar Martínez Bonafé, together with:
🔹 Héctor Ruiz Cabeza, Sales Director Spain & Portugal at STEMMER IMAGING
🔹 María Benítez, CMO and Board Member at Robotnik Automation
🔹 Borja Coronado, CEO of CFZ COBOTS
🔹 Mario Sierra, welder, communicator, and creator of @ruralmetal20
🔹 Robert Albir Sanz, Business Development Director at VSM Vitex Abrasivos Ibérica, S.A.U.

The debate addressed the current challenges of the sector, the new demands for specialized talent, the evolution of production processes, and the opportunities that collaborative robotics offers to boost competitiveness.
Empar Martínez emphasized the strategic value of local industry: “Valencian machinery manufacturing can not only produce and sell, but also be a close ally in implementation and after-sales support.” They also highlighted that FEMEVAL includes innovative companies capable of creating new products and that welding is a key factor in the quality of the products manufactured in Valencia region.
