The WELDNET project was presented as part of the opening event of the Office of the Model Center for Career Guidance and Counseling at the Secondary School “Knez Aleksandar Karađorđević” in Kragujevac. The event brought together representatives of schools and organizations and provided an opportunity to highlight ongoing activities aimed at improving educational quality and student support.
During the opening, the school introduced the purpose and future activities of the new center, with a focus on career guidance, counseling services, and cooperation with various partners. Within this context, the WELDNET was presented as an initiative that supports the development of Centers of Excellence and contributes to strengthening competencies and modern learning environments.
The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia has designated Secondary School “Knez Aleksandar Karađorđević” as a model institution for career guidance and counseling for a period of four school years, starting in 2025/2026. It is the first institution in the country to receive this status, highlighting its leadership in implementing advanced practices in career support and student development.
The event confirmed the importance of integrating institutional development with project based initiatives in order to achieve sustainable improvements in education and better support for students’ future career choices.
